How to set-up Email Account using Gmail

You can sync your email account with Lemonade to send and receive emails from Lemonade.

You can manage multiple incoming and outgoing Email Accounts in Lemonade. There has to be at least one default outgoing account and one default incoming account.  The default outgoing email is set by us.

Before creating an Email Account, you need an Email Domain. 

What is my Email Domain?: You might have purchased an Email service from your internet service provider or your IT services provider. For example, if you access your business mailbox with URL like http://mail.yourcompany.com, then yourcompany.com is your email domain.

If you want to send and receive emails on your Lemonade account, you need to correctly setup an email domain. You may be using free mail services like GMail or Yahoo. In this case, you don't need to create a domain, instead select a service provider from the list. However, you might have to allow access to Lemonade for your GMail account.

How to create an Email Account 

1. Go to the Email Account list, click on Add Email Account button.
   
2. Enter the email address with the domain. Domains need to be created in order to create an email account. You don't need to create a domain if you're syncing an email from certain providers as listed:

• • Gmail

  • Yahoo

  • Sparkpost

  • SendGrid

  • Outlook.com

  • Yandex.mail

Select a Service from the list then the Domain field will automatically be hidden away.

3. Enter the Email Address and Email Account Name .

4.For Authentication  Method select Basic then input Password, note that the password used here is not the email password but an App Password from the Email Address.

• • Go to your Gmail Account, click on your profile then click the "Manage your Google Account" button.
    
  • Go to Security and enable the 2-Step Verification
  • Inside the 2-Step Verification Page go to App Password
  • In the select app , select Others and input Lemonade then click the Generate button.
    
  • Copy the generated password and paste it in "Password" field of Email Account in Lemonade instead of your actual GMail password.
    
    

5. Go back to Lemonade > Email Account and paste the App Password in the Password field.

6. Save.

Make sure that the Incoming and Outgoing Settings was configured properly.
