Method 1 : Phone or Email
1. In your tenant, Go to Contacts > External Contacts
- Phone or email - you can input the email address of the external user you want to add.Click the search button and all the account that uses the same email will show. You can click the add button to add the external user.
Automatically the external contact added will receive an contact request. They just have to click the "Accept Contact Request" so that they will be added as an external contact.
Method 2: My Link
1. In your tenant, Go to Contacts > External Contacts
Click the Add External Contact button and you will be able to add external contact via :
- My Link - you can click "Copy" button to get the link of your contact details. You can share the link to the external user you want to add.
Method 3 : QR Code
1. In your tenant, Go to Contacts > External Contacts
- My QR Code - In the My QR Code tab, click Copy or Save Image and share your QR code with others.
Method 4 : Workgroup or Groupchat
1. In your tenant, Go to Messages. Look for a workgroup/groupchat where the external contact you want to add belongs.
Inside the Workgroup click the "Members List" icon and automatically member's list will show.
2. Click the member's profile then click the "Add to Contacts" button to the add the member as your external contact
Method 5 : Document/Meetings
1.Document - In a document where an external user was given access, you can click their profile photo and click "Add to Contacts" button, automatically that person will receive a contact request from you.
2. Calendar Meetings- in Lark, go to Calendar. Click the event where the external contact was also invited
Click on the member's profile then click the "Add to Contacts" button to add the person as external contacts
